Terrex Engineering & Construction, LLC (Terrex) engineers and project managers have exceptional experience and expertise in the most complex and challenging of civil and public works-related projects. Combined, our engineers and construction managers have acquired over 120 years of experience with the design and construction of underground water and sanitary sewer utility systems; municipal streets, state and federal highways; development drainage and regional flood control systems; commercial and residential land developments.
Step 1
Contract
Successful project contracts are initiated with collaborative meetings between project stakeholders, whether government agencies, private developers, or real estate investors, and our Terrex team of engineers and construction managers.
Step 2
Design
Once a professional services contract is agreed to, the Design phase of the overall Design-Build process, of project delivery, starts with a comprehensive and detailed scope-of-work that assures
the completion of, even the most challenging, project assignments within established budgets and schedules.
Step 3
Build
The construction (build) phase of a Terrex project is where the rubber meets the road in terms of maintaining fast track construction schedules, completion of all work with limited to no, budget
busting, change order claims, and our assurance of the highest quality of construction workmanship with all street, buried utility, and drainage site improvements.
Our Design-Build Approach
Terrex Engineering & Construction, LLC (Terrex) has been established as a “Design-Build” professional company completely focused on the administrative management, technical planning, engineering design and construction of water, wastewater and drainage infrastructure for public works and private land development projects. Terrex is also focused on pavement projects associated with private and public parking lots, municipal streets, county roads, in addition to state and federal highways.
A “Design-Build” (DB) model, or approach toward project delivery, eliminates a very high percentage of severe and unsustainable project issues, typically associated with construction cost overruns, poor construction workmanship, and unnecessary schedule delays.
Our land development projects take undeveloped raw properties from conceptual site development plans to completely improved residential building lots or commercial building pads on a fast-track schedule resulting in significant reductions in overall project completion schedules and construction costs when compared with the more orthodox Design-Bid-Build method of project delivery.
The advantages of Design-Build include; a single source of accountability, budget management, enhanced communication, faster project completion, and quality control.
